About

According to the World Economic Forum, women make up only 22% of the AI workforce globally.

In the US, only 26% of computing jobs are held by women, according to the National Center for Women & Information Technology.

The number of women studying computer science has decreased since the 1980s. In 2019, women made up only 19% of computer science graduates in the US, down from 37% in the 1980s, according to Code.org.

Women who do work in tech often face a gender pay gap. In the US, women in computer and mathematical occupations earn 81 cents for every dollar earned by men in the same occupation, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics.

Despite these challenges, studies show that diverse teams are more innovative and successful. Companies with more women on their executive teams are more profitable, according to a study by McKinsey & Company.

Join our community of over 90,000 female engineers!

Welcome to the Women in Tech Community! We are a group of passionate women who are dedicated to supporting and empowering women in the tech industry, especially those who are software engineers. Sharing your journey into tech with other women aspiring to do the same is a powerful act of empowerment and solidarity. By opening up about your experiences, challenges, and triumphs, you provide a roadmap for those who follow in your footsteps, offering valuable insights and inspiration along the way.

First and foremost, sharing your journey breaks down barriers and dispels myths surrounding women in tech. It showcases that success in this field is attainable regardless of gender, background, or circumstance, empowering others to pursue their passions with confidence.

Furthermore, sharing your story fosters a sense of community and belonging. It creates a supportive network where women can uplift and empower each other, fostering collaboration and camaraderie in an often male-dominated industry.

Moreover, sharing your journey allows you to pay it forward by mentoring and guiding the next generation of female technologists. Your experiences and lessons learned can provide invaluable guidance and encouragement to those navigating similar paths, helping them overcome obstacles and achieve their goals.

Ultimately, sharing your journey into tech with other women is not just about personal success—it's about paving the way for a more inclusive and diverse tech industry. It's about breaking down barriers, inspiring others, and creating a future where women have equal opportunities to thrive and succeed. So, don't hesitate to share your story—you never know whose life you might impact or whose dreams you might ignite.

Events serve as vibrant hubs where our community comes alive, igniting connections, sparking creativity, and fostering invaluable collaborations. They offer a platform for us to share knowledge, exchange ideas, and gain insights from experts and peers alike. Beyond the exchange of information, events cultivate a sense of belonging, empowering individuals to find their voice, express their unique perspectives, and contribute to the collective tapestry of our community.

Moreover, events are pivotal in driving innovation, serving as catalysts for the birth of groundbreaking ideas and the initiation of transformative projects. They provide opportunities for skill development, networking, and mentorship, equipping individuals with the tools and support they need to thrive in their personal and professional endeavors.

In essence, events are not merely gatherings; they are dynamic spaces where dreams are nurtured, aspirations are realized, and lasting bonds are forged. They remind us of the power of community and the immense potential that lies within each of us. By actively participating in events, we not only enrich our own lives but also contribute to the vibrant tapestry of our community, shaping a future that is inclusive, innovative, and empowering for all.
