Growing up, there wasn't a role model I could look to in terms of pursuing a career in Maths and Statistics and I wanted to give future generations of boys and girls someone to look up to so it was a contributing factor in my decision to study the subject. Now, that I have the knowledge, I take part in mentoring programmes in and out of university. Outside of University, I got the opportunity to take part in a presentation highlighting the need for diversity in the workplace to the heads of departments within Virgin Galactic in the US. As an Ambassador and Instructor for CodeFirstGirls, I have the opportunity to mentor females interested in python as well as find solutions to problems with a talented group of females around the world.
Hi! I'm Ale, and Industrial and Systems Engineer turned Developer from Mexico. I'm very passionate about technology, learning new things, and sharing them with others.
