Kasia Ducth

Hi, I'm Kasia, a mid-level software engineer, coding instructor, and mentor. I've been working at an EdTech start-up for three years since doing a boot camp. It's a huge honour to be living proof that taking an unconventional path into the tech industry can change your life! As a career-switcher, I'm deeply committed to making the industry a more diverse and inclusive space. With the work I do in my spare time as an instructor, mentor and GirlCode Ambassador, I'm hoping to encourage more women and girls to enter the tech world by paying my own experiences forward.

Growing up, there wasn't a role model I could look to in terms of pursuing a career in Maths and Statistics and I wanted to give future generations of boys and girls someone to look up to so it was a contributing factor in my decision to study the subject. Now, that I have the knowledge, I take part in mentoring programmes in and out of university. Outside of University, I got the opportunity to take part in a presentation highlighting the need for diversity in the workplace to the heads of departments within Virgin Galactic in the US. As an Ambassador and Instructor for CodeFirstGirls, I have the opportunity to mentor females interested in python as well as find solutions to problems with a talented group of females around the world.

Judith Böhlert

Hey, I'm Judi, a freelance software engineer based in Berlin, Germany.

I have 6 years of experience with full-stack development using technologies such as React or Vue on the frontend and Node.js or Golang on the backend.

After a few years of full-time employment, I have realized that working in tech is awesome but can also be quite stressful. Therefore, I am currently embarking on a self-employment adventure, hoping to find a calm and sustainable approach to working in tech.
